Midori holds Masters degree & Professional Studies Diploma from San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Currently she plays in Santa Cruz County Symphony & various other ensembles in the Bay Area. Midori founded Corelli Strings in 2009 to contribute to the community in various occasions and to connect with people with her music. She arranges all the special music requested by Corelli Strings customers, and her work has received rave reviews from countless listeners.
A versatile chamber musician Gretchen appears as cellist, baroque cellist and viol player in diverse groups in the San Francisco Bay Area & beyond. She has recently performed with American Bach Soloists, Archetti, Wildcat Viols, Karl Cronin and the Americana Orchestra, and is a founding member of the Cello Street Quartet, period ensembles MUSA & the Alchemy Trio. Gretchen received a BM from the Juilliard School, and an Artist's Certificate in Chamber Music from San Francisco Conservatory.
Violinist Annamarie enjoys collaborating with other musicians in various settings, from small chamber ensembles to full orchestras, including UCLA's Gluck String Quartet, the Mendocino Music Festival, and the Aspen Music Festival. Most recently, she has been thrilled to be a member of One Found Sound, a San Francisco conductor-less chamber orchestra, during its 2014-15 season. She holds degrees from UCLA's Herb Alpert School of Music and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
Gabriel was introduced to the cello at the age of 15. He quickly found himself collaborating with some of the most prominent and influential musicians of our time, including Christoph Eschenbach, Yutaka Sado, Yo-Yo Ma, Christopher Hogwood, etc. He has toured with orchestras throughout the US, Germany, Lithuania, Armenia, Russia and Japan. Mr. Beistline has a Bachelor's degree from the New England Conservatory and a Master's degree from Rice University under the professorship of Lynn Harrell.
Yuri Kye is a violinist based in the Bay Area. She has performs extensively with orchestras in the northern California region including Monterey Symphony, Santa Rosa Symphony, Oakland Symphony, Merced Symphony, Fresno Philharmonic, and many more. A dedicated chamber musician, Yuri is a founding member of the San Francisco based Alden Trio, and is also a member of Elevate Ensemble, a group focused on obscure and contemporary repertoire with unconventional instrumentation.
Cellist Samsun studied at San Francisco Conservatory of Music with Jean-Michel Fonteneau, and as a quartet cellist with Alexander, Miro & Takacs String Quartets. He recieved the first prize from M. Alan Neys Award at the Pacific Musical Society's annual competition. Samsun has recorded for the Phoenix Spring Ensemble and the Arcos Chamber Orchestra's Portrait of Anders Eliasson on the Neos label. He is a founding member of the Chamber Music Society of San Francisco.
Sarena is a Bay Area native and holds a Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She currently holds the position of Assistant Principal 2nd violin with the California Symphony and is also a member of the Stockton Symphony. She frequently performs with other Northern California symphonies including Sacramento Philharmonic, Modesto Symphony, and Monterey Symphony. Sarena is also a devoted teacher and runs her own private music studio of violin and piano student.
An Alaskan native cellist Charles Akert has captivated audiences around the world as soloist, chamber musician and as a member of numerous performing groups in all genres of music. Recent engagements include performances at Weill Recital Hall with Ensemble: Peripherie, the Malemute Saloon with Zingaro Roots, recording sessions with Zigi Marley and The Family Crest and tours with the New Music Ensemble Redshift and The Trinity Alps Chamber Players.
A San Francisco native, Rebecca Wishnia began performing with a variety of Bay Area ensembles from a young age. Since completing her master’s degree in 2015, she has become an active music educator as an associated artist/teacher of Villa Sinfonia Foundation, an organization dedicated to developing string musicians of all ages and abilities. In her spare time, Rebecca writes reviews for the San Francisco Classical Voice, and strives to go to as many concerts as she can.
A native of Puerto Rico, Andres brings a rich mix of cultural influences to his music. Surrounded by the sound of salsa, reggae, Latin jazz, Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms, Andres grew up with an affinity for music. He's an accomplished performer of classical & baroque cello repertoire. Andres also performs Latin jazz, folk, rock and pop music. Currently he performs as a soloist, orchestral member, chamber musician, and has been seen in countless venues throughout the Bay Area.
Laura performs regularly on period & modern instruments in the US, Europe, New Zealand, and Asia. She has performed with Juilliard415, New York Baroque Inc, Clarion Music Society, Sacramento Baroque Soloists, Lyra Baroque Orchestra (under Jacques Ogg), San Jose Baroque Orchestra, San Francisco Bach Choir, UC Berkeley Chorus, and many more. Laura holds a Master's Degree from The Juilliard School. When not making music, Laura enjoys baking, photography, knitting, and playing with her cat Sherbert.
Addi Liu is a passionate performer on the baroque violin and modern viola in the San Francisco Bay Area. He performs with MUSA, a Bay Area-based baroque ensemble in which he is a founding member, as well as period ensembles including the San Francisco Bach Choir and the American Bach Soloists. On viola he has collaborated with the Friction Quartet, the Magik*Magik Orchestra, and is a core member of the chamber orchestra One Found Sound.
Violinist Alise is an active chamber and orchestral musician with a broad range of musical interest, ranging from Baroque to contemporary music. Alise earned a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance and pedagogy from the Latvian Academy of Music in Riga, Latvia. Currently she is member of the Stockton Symphony and actively performs with numerous other Bay Area orchestras. She is also on a faculty at San Francisco Community Music Center.
Bay Area cellist Jerry Liu received a MM from New England Conservatory, and BM from San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Inspired by the diverse music and venues from San Francisco, he continues to explore and engage with musicians from different musical backgrounds. By expanding his horizons, he aspires to incorporate these different forms of musical expression into his own work. As an active performer of new music, Liu frequently collaborates with composers and given premieres for many works.
Violinist Gina holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she studied with Wei He. As part of the chamber music program she studied with Mark Sokol and Ian Swensen. Gina also held the position of concertmaster in various Bay Area training orchestras. She now is investing herself in the music opportunities of the Bay Area, with a passion for performing and teaching. Gina has been an active member of Corelli Strings since 2011.
Born in Croatia, violist Ivo Bokulic is associate principal of the San José Chamber Orchestra, also an active freelance musician in the Bay Area & beyond, performing with groups such as Utah Festival Opera, Reno Chamber Orchestra, Reno Philharmonic, Opera San José, Santa Rosa Symphony, Fresno Philharmonic, Merced Symphony, Opera Parallèle, Masterworks Chorale, and Magik*Magik Orchestra. He holds both Bachelor & Master of Music degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
While obtaining her Bachelor of Music Degree at Napier University, Scotland, Angela played her first event music set aboard the Former Royal Yacht Britannia, where she tickled the same ivories as Noel Coward and the British Royal Family! Since then she has performed at various events worldwide with Holland America Cruise Lines. A versatile musician, and enthusiastic teacher Angela is involved in many musical productions, classes and performances around the Bay Area.
Violinist Stephanie received her performance degree from New England Conservatory, and her master’s degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she continued her education in the professional studies diploma. Stephanie has performed with orchestras & chamber music ensembles in venues throughout Europe and the United States, notably Boston’s Symphony Hall, San Francisco’s Davies Symphony Hall and the Library of Congress in Washington DC.
